Summary: Our customer was looking for creating a portal which would be working around handling the information security. It is a platform that integrates network client insights, operational objectives and risk needs, providing a single client profile. This system creates an intuitive solution from which Broker and Enterprise Risk Management Groups operate. Offering an organic loop that delivers comprehensive risk management solution that is a foundational component of our business. About the Client: Our client is a risk management firm focused on information security. It provides a suite of products and services to enterprise risk management groups and independent retail insurance brokers to efficiently deliver assessment, training, compliance, information security, and casualty risk insurance products to employees, customers, partners, and vendors. Problem Statement: The portal is a platform that integrates network client insights, operational objectives and risk needs, providing a single client profile. This system creates an intuitive solution from which our Broker and Enterprise Risk Management Groups operate. Offering an organic loop that delivers comprehensive risk management solution that is a foundational component of our business. There are three main features for the portal: Risk insights provide expert risk analysis and general commentary how global cyber and casualty risk are affecting economic and business climate while suggesting best practice strategies for dealing with the increased organizational issues. Risk Binder manages submissions, negotiations, and binding within the Risk- Portal. Enables broker collaboration with insurers and clients to facilitate rate and term discussions to provide comprehensive cost effective coverage. Risk Surveys are proprietary surveys provided to brokers and their clients via the Risk smart Portal enabling them to efficiently identify corporate risk areas. Brokers and corporate risk managers email these surveys to clients and corporate users to highlight corporate exposure and focus their sales process. Benefits Delivered: Prospectus clients including some of them in Fortune 100 companies appreciated the portal functioning, along with the proceeding of the seed investment into the portal future enhancement. Developing new market trends into information security domain with the portal is the first of its kind. On-time bug-free delivery of portal as per the project execution plan. Challenges and Limitations: Customizing Liferay internals DDL functionality to provide the client full featured editing options dynamically along with the mapping for the survey form displayed to customers of the portal. Database Encryption for the MariaDB along with the data migration from MySQL database. Dashboard page design for displaying the multiple larger surveys’ information for each of the customers. Aspire Solution: Involvement in this project since the concept building to the development and enhancement. Understanding the system requirements. Liferay Portal Installation and Configuration. User management based on the role of the system. Risk index calculation algorithm for deriving the insights for each of the surveys filled by the customer. Report Generation based on the different kinds of surveys filled by customers into the portal. Database encryption along with SSL enabled for better security of the data stored into the portal. Functionality & Regression testing for all the features at each release cycle to ensure that the product works well with each release. Development and releases using the agile model of development. Release Management of the product to make sure all the release components are in place during release.
