The Infatuation
This food review platform had been gaining traction in New York, and wanted to be able to scale so that other cities across the U.S. (and maybe later, the world) could contribute. They’d stretched their out-of-the-box publishing tool as far as it could go, and it was clear to us that they needed a custom CMS that would meet all of their needs right from the start. We also agreed that it was time for the Infatuation to graduate from a publication with restaurant reviews to a robust hub, with a map feature that finds exactly what you want to eat at a spot near you, a rating tool that leveraged existing data, and more. Mapbox, Foursquare APIs, and React/Redux came together to build an expansive and responsive platform that instantly gave The Infatuation the ability to start connecting to users in different cities. In 2017, we won our first Webby for Best Mobile Site in the Food & Drink category, for our work with The Infatuation.
